For all those Blurbarians out there who have made a book, you’ll agree with me that the cover can oftentimes be the hardest part. When you can choose from tons of beautiful layouts and any font that’s on your computer the task can be daunting. For those of you who need a little inspiration for your next Blurb bookcover check out the AIGA exhibition titled 50 Books/50 Covers at The San Francisco Center for the Book. I stopped by the opening last Friday and even though SFCB was packed I did manage to get my paws on most of the books. I was delighted to see books of all shapes and sizes; from novels and Artist’s surveys to an oversized book documenting the magnitude of the 2005 Tsunami.

Don’t miss the SFCB panel discussion on what makes an award-winning book design Friday, November 3rd. You might even spot a few of the Bluberati.
