Yes, that says $50,000. Leica, long known for its beautiful cameras, heavy price tags, and amazing craftsmanship, has released a video showing the making of its gorgeous Edition Hermès Leica M9-P, a camera created in partnership with the couturier known for spendy handbags (a case is included, but it’s a bit more masculine than the usual Hermès bag). The camera actually comes with its own set of white gloves. Which makes one wonder if you’re ever supposed to use this couture shooter out doors.
All this stuff about the price aside (it’s still a bargain next to the $2.8 million bidding price of this Leica), the making of this camera is incredibly hands-on, right down to the binding of the documentation – which automatically gives it bonus points for us.
