Today I am a smiling, origami orange. Tomorrow I might be a close up of my right eye. And next week, I could be a really amazing photograph of Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Oh yeah, and I was recently Simpsonized, so you might see this:

I am referring to my Blurb Profile avatar. Did you know that you can upload an image to represent yourself in the Blurb community? Just sign in to Blurb, select Account and then Profile from the drop down menu. Then select Edit and upload a photo or image in the Add Your Photo field.

Your avatar will appear on your Profile page, in the About the Author section on your bookstore pages, and in your Forums posts. So far we’ve seen everything from people with their pet horses to classic headshots to the family dog, fruit plates (yeah, you know who you are), and sports stars. It’s easy to use one of your own photos, but if you need some inspiration, simply type “avatar” into Google. You’ll see 8 katrillion sites like this offering free avatars like these:
