A new season arrived over the weekend. San Francisco even got some much needed rain. We’re gearing up for a big week at Blurb and kicking it off with a Monday morning round-up.

Embrace your inner geek
The 2007 Pixel Awards are here and Blurb was selected as a Top 5 nominee in the Geek category. This award would mean a lot to us – it’s a best of the Web honor – so we’d appreciate your support and vote. Of course, being a Blurbarian doesn’t make you an automatic geek … unless you’re into that sort of thing.

P.S. Voting goes until October 19th and you can vote daily.

Go forth and make a book
Cynthia Ware is a writer, blogger, and pastor. Her blog, The Digital Sanctuary, recently listed a number of ways that churches and parishioners can use Blurb.

Authors reaching out with Facebook
The Globe ran an interesting article on interactive fiction and how authors can leverage online communities and blogs to promote their writing. Could this be the secret to your book’s success? Maybe. Check it out.

Enjoy Autumn wherever you are and look for major news coming from Blurb in the next few weeks.
