Can’t time travel? Do the next best thing: Attend “LIFE: A Journey Through Time.” Go from trilobites to now with Frans Lanting, an award-winning nature photographer. He spent seven years creating a mind-blowing photographic history of life on Earth. (Talk about strong project management skills, Frans. It took me seven years just to paint my one-bedroom apartment.) The presentation is free in San Francisco on April 27. A member or two of the Blurberati might be there…

Picture yourself here: Photo District News, the highly respected magazine for professional photographers, is sponsoring a new seminar series in conjunction with the Santa Fe Workshops. Pros, students, and advanced amateur photographers can participate in four specific tracks: wedding, editorial, commercial, or transitions/PDN’s 30. They’re also giving away some potent schwag as door prizes. The San Francisco session is scheduled for April 28-29. Live somewhere else? SF isn’t the only place to host this series – there are others all around the U.S.
