Blurb BookShow gets an upgrade

Blurb BookShow is the handy, embeddable widget that lets you show off a digital preview of your Blurb book, cover to cover or as many pages as you’d like. It’s great for books with images, but until recently it was a little tough to read the text within books. Also, it hasn’t let large-format books take full advantage of the size of the BookShow widget.

Well, no more. BookShow has received a bit of an upgrade. It now renders text much more legibly than before, particularly when you view books in full screen mode. Even better, BookShow now makes the most of the window, something particularly great for our larger trim sizes. So now “View Fullscreen” literally fills the screen with your beautiful book.

Don’t worry. As great as the new version of BookShow is, it still won’t replace the experience of holding a Blurb book in your hands. Also, there’s no need to update any embeds you’ve already made. The changes roll out automatically.

So, share your BookShow previews with confidence and pride, and get those kudos and “likes.” And, as always, let us know what you think.

  2. Hey Bo,

Make sure you’ve enabled the Book Preview on your Edit Book Settings page. Then you’ll see a blue banner on your book that says “Preview Book.” If you’re still having trouble, give our support team a try:
