The Blurberati have been traveling around the world – most recently at Photokina just across the pond. Here’s a little update from Gareth on the good times had out in Germany:

Sprechen Sie Deutsch??? Neither do we, but that didn’t stop the Blurberati from making a splash at Photokina in Koelne, Germany the other week. Photokina is Europe’s largest imaging and photography show that happens every two years in a giant – and I mean giant – convention facility that makes the Javitz center in NYC look like my bathroom.
We had a blast making new friends from all over Europe and spreading the word about how photographers can use Blurb, especially the new B3 program for creative professionals.
Some highlights from the show:

· An über-cool Lomography wall which was the scene of a wine-fueled party co-hosted by our friends at Flickr and the cool folks at Lomography. Did you know the original Lomography company story involves Vladimir Putin?
· A Blurb-sponsored Photography.Book.Now meetup at a trendy Koelne club with all the Kolsch and pizza you could handle (never had tuna on pizza before…not sure I need to again). It was so great to meet more friends of Blurb and celebrate the success of the first ever PBN.
· A traditional German dinner at Früh, courtesy of our friends at HP. More Kolsch involved. Good times all around.

Like every show Blurb goes to, the best part was hearing from photographers about how they use Blurb books to share their work, market their services, and impress clients. Thanks to everyone who came by the Blurb booth and especially to our neighbor and friend Rene who took such good care of us throughout the week.
Cheers,
Gareth and the Blurb Euro team
