Michael Creagh Editorial Stories, by Michael Creagh
We experience the end of summer in numerous ways. For some, it’s marked by their name being yelled during roll call, and for others it’s leaves falling from the trees. For a few, the clearest indication that summer is on its way out is New York Fashion Week, a week dedicated to the designs and trends in fashion for the following spring and summer.

Over the years, Blurb users have made some truly “well-dressed” fashion books. And with the close of New York Fashion Week, we think it’s time to pay homage to these beautiful books. Without further ado, here they are displaying some of the always-popular trends in Blurb book design.
Seamless Book Sequencing -
S/S – A/W, a gorgeous photo book, with a book sequence that begs us to flip to the next page. Not to mention the fact that some of the images give any of the models pictured a run for their money. (check out the full book to see what we mean – S/S – A/W)

Beautiful Book Covers – We all know the saying, “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” , but let’s face it, having a well-designed book cover is important, especially for photo books. For more tips on book cover design, take a look at our how-to video by Blurb’s photographer at large, Daniel Milnor.
Full-Bleed Photo Spreads – In Fashion Week, Malcolm Brown gives us some fabulous examples of how a full-bleed photo can really accessorize your photo books.

Book Design – The Iowa State University Fashion Show is a great example from up-and-coming Blurb book designers sharing with us the joy of a well-designed book.
Here at Blurb, we’re thrilled to be able to help our users produce and design beautiful books. And, well, in earnest, we can’t wait to see what’s coming out this fall.
