AJAX and Ruby on Rails may be the buzzwords in the Web 2.0 world, but Blurb BookSmart has recently earned some cred in the Java Desktop Community. Jasper Potts, Sun Microsystems’ software engineer and blogger, singles out Blurb in his blog entry Blurb BookSmart: the best java app I’ve seen in a long time. BookSmart engineers take this compliment with open arms.

Thanks, Jasper. Your kudos go a long way.

  1. When I was researching Print-On-Demand companies I tried many software interfaces. I consider myself a super-user, and I’m also an artist. I have high expectation. When I saw and used BookSmart — and browsed the Blurb website — I was confident I’d found a winner. I am still very impressed with several aspects of your business including BookSmart software, graphic designs and layouts (I do my own, but yours are also quite remarkable) the ease of using the website, the depth of information offered to your customers, and the friendly, helpful and knowledgement Tech Support people!

I’m not surprised to hear that Jasper Potts of Sun had compliments for you guys. You’d done a wonderful job and we Blurbers love you for it.

    CONGRATULATIONS!
