As we head into the long weekend, thought we’d leave you with an update on Blurb in the news this week. Some weeks it’s the Today Show or O! Magazine, and others it’s reviews of BookSmart by influential bloggers and shout-outs from our partners and friends. It’s all good stuff, and it’s really cool to be recognized and appreciated by people, publications, and organizations of all kinds.

Here are some of this week’s highlights.

First up, a detailed review by photographer and blogger Jaime Pott at her blog s.i.m.p.l.e. Jaime had an awesome experience with Blurb, and writes about how she used BookSmart layouts, and also created her own using Photoshop. As an added bonus there are some extra-cute shots of her son reading the book about him (and hugging it).

Next, our friends and partners at the Lucies featured the Blurb-hosted Photography.Book.Now competition in their newsletter. We’re excited to be the official book partner for the related International Photography Awards, and we love that they went all Bowie on us in their newsletter (but no, he’s not in space).

In its May issue, PMA Magazine showcases Jen Chaky’s success using Blurb to create photo books of children’s art. Rock on BlurbNation!

Oh, and the USA Today digs the new ImageWrap covers. So we got that going for us…which is nice.

Have a great weekend all, and we’ll check back in on Tuesday.

  1. is there really only “express” shipping available to Canada now? The price has soared and makes the books so much more expensive…

  2. Hi Nancy,

It looks like you have three shipping options available, so the express option is just one of three.

  3. on around may 24th I sent you a note asking why I cant preview my book, or any other book.I asked if you could advise me what I needed to do to be able to use this feature. I intend to tell friends in the U.K and Western Canada about my book and feel they will want to preview it’s content prior to ordering. I can’t find my previous comment to you or your reply. It was in the comments section yesterday. As advised, I made the book public and checked the preview button. please let me know if the preview feature is not working, or what I am doing wrong.

  4. I found out about from the Oprah magazine. I had been using another online publisher, but Blurb is better and less expensive to boot. I’ve also been telling all my friends about Blurb so they can get in on this wonderful service as well.
