If it wasn’t so early in the morning in the United States, we’d be poppingblurb 4pays Blurb launches in Dutch, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese Champagne corks. Because today we’re happy to announce that Blurb has officially launched in four additional languages: Dutch, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese (adding to our English, French, and German sites). We’re pretty excited about it. This means not only translated sites, but fully translated bookmaking tools and support in each language.

This is what our CEO, Eileen Gittins, said about the launch:

“We have many thousands of customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Brazil who have supported us over the years by creating their books on the ‘English-only’ Blurb platform. We are thus delighted to finally offer our service in each of these local languages. I know this is a happy day for Blurb and we believe that the local language tools and website will provide a much better experience for all of our Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese speakers around the world.”

So, join us as we raise a celebratory cup of coffee (or whatever’s appropriate for your time zone) and welcome our new websites to the Blurb family.

Check out the new sites at the addresses below. And, as always, we’d love to know what you  think. Comment below or, better yet, drop a line to our Customer Support team at the site or your choice.

The text was published in the original Bulgarian.

In the above published article as I understand you offered software serves solely the language angliiski, Netherlands, Italian, Spanish and portugarski.
What the possible changes in the installation of kirilizator (possibility of publication of Slavic-speaking countries such as Russian, Bulgarian, Macedonian and others. Languages).
I have already prepared a book, but since the text is in Bulgarian language, this issue will prevent you in.

    Thank you in advance!

  2. Hello,

I’m not sure what our plans are for a Bulgarian or Russian website, but our bookmaking tools support unicode text input and we ship to many countries (you can find a full list here: So you shouldn’t have any problems making a book with Bulgarian text. However, just make sure you type in your registration and delivery information using a latin-based alphabet. If you run into any problems, just contact our Support Team (although they currently can only answer questions in English, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese).

  4. Hey Jan,

Sorry to hear that happened, but it’s easily fixed. Just point your cursor up to the right corner of the window where it says “Italiano.” A little drop-down menu will appear with languages in it. Simply select English and everything will be back to normal.

  5. For some reason my blurb page has changed language, I suppose is Dutch because I do not understand at all. How can I get it back to English?

  6. Hey Maria,

Don’t worry, it’s easy to switch this back. Just point your cursor to the upper-right corner of any page on Blurb where it should currently read “Nederlands.” Click and select “English” from the menu. You should be good to go!

  7. I’m writing my autobiography in English. Do you offer a translation service to German as well? Also I will add pictures (old photographs as well as color slides that I have to make digital copies from)

Please advise how much you can assist me with and the costs involved.

My text is not yet completed it may take another six months+ depending on my state of health, I’m paraplegic since an accident in September 2009, not sure just how much that Blurp has on offer, anything at all please advise me.

  8. Hey Martin,

I’m excited that you want to make your autobiography with us. And yes, you can include photos with your text. However, we don’t offer any translation services at this time. You may be able to find an affordable translation service through another company, and then put that text in a Blurb book.
