Christmas is a busy time for many of us: gifts to buy, dinners to plan, trees to trim, books to make. So it’s nice when a book comes along that lets us focus on the beauty of this time of year. “Christmas: These are a few of my favorite things” is a lovingly photographed appreciation of the all things snowy and santa by Santi Acosta and Lee Strump.
From the snow-covered streets of New York to the sun-soaked beaches of Los Angeles, the book shows the beauty of the season without becoming kitsch. A few well-chosen words accompany the images. Giving just enough context, but still letting the mind wander in the wintery (and not so wintery) wonderlands.
