In the spirit of our recently featured video with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a Blurb book, we thought we’d pass around this cool post on “camera mail,” a camera-embedded package that offered a similar take on the mail system.
The package was mailed from Massachusetts by web designer and musician Matthew McVickar and, as you can see by the photo, he asked that postal employees take a photo as the package made its way to Hawaii. It’s a crazy, creative idea and one you can do yourself as other camera-mailers have.
We can’t help but think how cool it would be to modify a Blurb book with an embedded camera. You could ask everyone who opens it to take a photo of themselves. Anyone want to take up this creative challenge? Let us know. We’d love to feature it on the blog (and we’d even add our own photos to the collection!).
