Sorry “Project Runway“, but you’re out. Auf Wiedersehen.
My Take On It All is in.
Fashion junkies and photography fans, please take note of Mimi Haddon’s new book. She’s a photographer who works out of Venice Beach and you can feel that special kind of energy in her book of fashion photography. Her work is a little retro and a lot colorful. Catapult-off-the-page colorful. Here’s a spread from the Book Preview so you can see what I mean:

As a photographer, Mimi has a distinct visual point of view. Her book made Book of the Week because it captures something kicky, beautiful, and stylish. It actually feels good to look at her pages. (Color therapy?) No wonder she has worked for clients like The New Yorker, The Getty Trust, Disney, and Palm Press, among others.
Mimi, your images have style and substance, and we think your book is nothing short of luscious. (It makes me want to go shopping.) Your blog is great too. Congratulations on making Blurb’s Book of the Week. Can’t wait to see your next book project.
Are there any Blurbarians planning a fashion forward Valentine’s Day? Tomorrow is the big day, you know. Tell us your plans and let us live vicariously through you.
