Need the perfect symbol to put on your book, poster, T-shirt, you-name-it? Check out the Noun Project, a creative collective of cool – and free – downloadable graphic symbols representing everything from modes of transport to shipping and handling instructions to “find cocktails here.”

The mission of the Noun Project is to “share, celebrate, and enhance the world’s visual language.” To that end, they’ve built a collection of iconic symbols that cross cultural divides and offer universal access to objects or ideas.

Watch the video to learn more about how you can contribute to and collaborate with the Noun Project. And if one of the symbols calls to you, have at it. Use it however you’d like: in your next travel book, in a presentation book, heck, even a children’s book. Have fun, Blurbarians and let the creativity rip.
