Woohoo! Miracles happen. On July 29 (that’s tomorrow, folks!), the Impossible Project, those Polaroid whiz kids who resurrected and recreated the beloved Polaroid instant film, will release the First Flush Edition of their new color instant film.
PX 70 Color Shade harkens back to the original Polaroid Time Zero film with its ability to render pastel tones and great detail. You’ll be able to buy it online at the Impossible shop in a 2+1 Starter Pack (includes one free pack of film) as of July 29.
Tomorrow the Impossible team will showcase a gallery of sample images using the film on their site. Stop by and take a look. If you’re interested in becoming an official test user of Impossible Project’s upcoming color film versions, submit your image, using the fantastic PX 70 Color Shade of course, to the All About Color Shade site . Again, like the film and the gallery, this site goes live tomorrow, July 29.
Great news for all of us lovers of cool analog. By the way, we noticed more Polaroid photography book submissions to our 2010 Photography Book Now competition, so, by all accounts, we’re thinking this is good news for many of you too.
