santa delivery blog Improved Shipping Options for EU, UK, and Australia

The gift-giving season is around the corner and we’ve been working on improving our shipping options for Blurbarians in Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

The work has paid off. We’re happy to announce that this year, you can get Priority Shipping, our most popular trackable method, at Flat Rate prices. So, if you have shipments of three books or less, you pay €5.99, £3.99, or AUD $9.99 (depending on your location) and get your order delivered in three to five days after your book is produced.

As for our regular Economy shipping, it’s going on a little holiday and will return after the seasonal celebrations are over (even more of a reason for you to get your books made and shipped soon).

We’ll be posting our shipping deadlines online on our Holiday Gift Center. We’ll publish a blog post and let you know when it goes live on the site. In the meantime, it’s not too early to start on your books. The holidays will be here before you know it.

  1. Glad to hear this. It’s generally the shipping that lets Blurb down a little – quite expensive, and things sometimes go wrong. Sounds as if it’s about to get better.

  2. Hi Gillian,
We really do try to keep costs in line but we don’t want to compromise on quality, so sometimes it’s a juggle. Anyway, hope you can take advantage of the new shipping option for the holidays.

I’ve made a 78 page book full our wedding photos from 1 year ago in Fiji for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. The book looks awesome this is a great concept! GO BLURB! Based on the estimates it should arrive in time, I’ll report back.

  6. Will there be an improved shipping to Hawaii as well. I ordered my books on 10-10-10 and it only arrived today. That’s a bit too long…

  7. Hi Nicole,
We try to keep shipping options as economical and reliable as possible and are always looking to improve service at a reasonable rate. That said, no updates to Hawaii shipping are planned for the rest of 2010. Sometimes delivery dates are out of our control and while it probably wasn’t a snowstorm that impeded a more timely delivery, it could have been anything. Still, glad your book arrived and hope you are pleased with it.

  8. Shipping is SO much better to Australia now – about 7 or 8 days instead of 3 weeks! This has been the only drawback I’ve had with Blurb – and now it’s not so. (I hope the “holiday season” lasts a long time!!)
