We’re not talking about those nostalgic, C3PO-like dance moves that beckon every time you hear a Kraftwerk song. We are talking about design student Curtis Elliott’s charming illustrations of robots in the rain, in love, and in thought.

With an illustration style that is playfully angular and brightly colored, Curtis has created the type of portfolio that makes you want to create a project just so you can hire him. Surely when his professors at the Art Institute see mr. elliott design vol. 1, someone is going to get extra credit.
And while this talented Book of the Week author has found a way to design robots with personality, scientists are taking it one step further.
Congratulations, Curtis. We can’t wait to see where your career in design takes you.
