Book of the Week is one in a series on the Windy City

Ryan Muir sees the beauty in Chicago. Even though he was only there for five days this past May, during that time he took some pretty stunning pictures. So much so, that he is in the process of creating a series of five photography books on the Windy City.

In our Book of the Week, Chicago Colors, he showcases “the colorful and whimsical aspects of the city.” Pink cherry blossoms pop off the page. A park fountain glows cobalt blue. A classic Chicago jazz cabaret marquis is illuminated in bright red and metallic gold lights.

This particular book in the series has its own unique point of view and theme, yet compliments the other titles very well, giving an interesting flow to the subject matter. Ryan, we think your Chicago series is striking, beautiful, and very creative. It’s also cool to see someone use Blurb to make a whole book series. Nice work!

Here are Ryan’s first four books in his series:

  1. I used to live in Chicago. This series is great. I looked at the previews and it took me down memory lane. Great city, great pics and great use of Blurb. I also like that you themed the covers and typefaces to match the different topics. It adds a nice touch.
