For thirty-six weeks, four artists sent a sketchbook between them. It traveled from Brooklyn to Belfast and back again. Every Wednesday, one artist would receive the book and create art across a two-page spread. The next Monday, the book would be sent to another artist and the process would repeat itself. They never spoke during the time they collaborated. By the time they were done, the book traveled over sixty-thousand miles.

Laganside’s Tunnel Under the Weir – an exhibit space 7 meters below the river Lagan in Belfast, N. Ireland – showcased an exhibit of the art book. See the whole thing, spread by spread, and listen to the accompanying audio of the artists discussing their work. Heck, you can even purchase a spread, if you’re so inclined. (Thus the prices under the Week 16 spread above.) Would you consider using Blurb’s Community Book feature to work on a similar type of book project? We’d love to hear about it.
