Good news: The beginner webinars continue to be very well received, so we’re adding more. If you’ve hesitated signing up, don’t wait. They’re only an hour. They’re free. You call in and listen while you view it on your computer. It’s easy and it’ll jumpstart the whole Blurb experience if you’re completely new to BookSmart.
We’re also rolling out a webinar for more experienced bookmakers called BookSmart Design Tips and Techniques. If you already know the basics of BookSmart, this new intermediate webinar explores several design ideas to use in your books. Part instruction and part inspiration, it’ll provide design tips straight from Blurb’s designers.
Here are all the upcoming webinar dates and times. Please note: All times are listed in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). To convert our time zone to yours, go here.

Are these webinars cached or otherwise viewable at other time? I haven’t quit my day job yet…
Thanks,

Hi Greg,
You can check out the beginner webinar any time - we made the video available to watch anytime.
I’ll post back as soon as the new, intermediate webinar video is posted.

Thanks, Allison! Do you plan to have any when those of us who have not yet quit our day jobs can participate?
Schlanks!
Greg
will you be putting the design webinar video online for viewing similar to what was done for the beginners webinar video. also what topics are covered in the design one?
thx!
michelle ;)
The design webinar is really an intermediate BookSmart webinar where we’ll talk a bit about upfront design planning (goals, sequencing, whitespace), but most of the time will be spent showing hands on examples of creative ways to design your books such as use of image layouts (two-page spread, grids, etc..), text (font personality, text over images, etc..), and cover design tips and tricks. We’ll adapt it based on your feedback so hope you’ll join us.
