I’ve seen a lot of books about body parts this week, so when I saw the title pieces(of me) by Mark Warren, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to uncover.
What I found was a very well-designed book by a poet photographer. It’s a wonderful example of how to artistically fuse your words and images in a book.
Take a poetry break and preview Mark’s book. After all, it is National Poetry Month here in the states.

This book was very moving for me. The photography is incredible using wonderful combinations of color and black & white.
After you read this book, you feel like you need to sit quietly in a room by yourself, and think about the pieces of your own life… Wonderful job Mark!
For some reason, I cannot turn pages in the Preview of this marvelous looking book.
I had that happen, too. After I clicked on ‘preview’ the pdf file loaded. In the upper left hand corner there’s a lock symbol. Under that there’s a page symbol. Clicking that allowed me to preview.
You should check out Jill Pankey’s book on Blurb.
