First off, our apologies. We misstated a webinar date in our recent email and we feel terrible. To make up for any confusion and due to overwhelming demand (thanks all), we’re scheduling two more sessions on Thursday, September 2. Like the others, these sessions are free to all and will include great info on our PDF to Book workflow and how to get perfect color from image capture to finished book.

Below are registration links to all the sessions, including the new ones:

Wednesday, August 25, 1:00 p.m. EDT (10 a.m. PDT / 6 p.m. GMT)

Wednesday, August 25, 3:00 p.m. EDT (12 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. GMT)

Thursday, September 2, 1:00 p.m. EDT (10: 00 a.m. PDT/ 6 p.m. GMT)

Thursday, September 2, 3:00 p.m. EDT (12 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. GMT)

These webinars focus on color management and our PDF to book workflow. If you’re a creative pro using Adobe® InDesign® or a photographer/bookmaker extraordinaire and you’re looking to learn more about PDF to Book and color, this webinar is for you.

The webinar will cover:
• Camera white balance and profiles using X-Rite’s Color Checker Passport
• Monitor calibration and profiling using X-Rite’s ColorMunki Photo
• Creating and using custom printer profiles
• Soft-proofing in Adobe® Photoshop®
• Converting images to the Blurb CMYK profile
• Setting up InDesign® for Blurb books
• Pre-flight and uploading your PDF book to Blurb

Hope you can make one of the sessions! As always, we will post a video of the webinar to our site a week or so after the September 2 sessions take place. We’ll send out word on the blog and on our Events page when it’s live on the site.

  1. I’m new here and enjoying blogging and have Photoshop 7 which is too old to upgrade at the upgrade price… hoping to get Photoshop CS-5 by about February or so.

Also hoping to write my own PDF book soon :)

    Thanks!

    Gary.
