Format 11, the UK’s top international contemporary photography festival, is just around the corner – and this year it’ll celebrate street photography with the theme “Right Here, Right Now.” Blurb is proud to be a partner, and we’re hosting book signings, an awards presentation, and seminars. We’ll also be showcasing some of the incredible book entries we received for the festival catalogue.
Format 11 runs from 4 March – 3 April, and Blurb will be there to kick off the opening weekend. Come by the QUAD in Derby to see our display of a few of the 20 top photography books submitted especially for Format 11 (full selection listed below). You’ll find us on the mezzanine level in the building’s main entrance – drop by and pick up discount vouchers for your next book!
And if you’ve ever wanted some expert advice on how to make a photography book, come on by our free Blurb bookmaking seminar on Saturday 5 March from 3 – 4 p m. at the QUAD Cinema.
Acclaimed photojournalist Sam Mellish will be there with us as he signs copies of his limited-edition Blurb book On The Road: London to Lands End. Come join us for Sam’s book signing on Saturday 5 March from 4:15 – 5:15 p.m. at the QUAD Cinema 2.
To round off the day, Blurb will present awards to the three top portfolios, as chosen by Format 11, on Saturday 5 March at 7:30 p.m. at the QUAD Cinema 2. And stick around for the Slide Slam Carousel afterwards, hosted by Blurb and Foto8.
