Great news, Blurbarians. Our new BookShow widget is available to one and all. You might’ve gotten a glimpse of BookShow on our Facebook page and maybe you’ve even had a chance to see here it on the blog. The waiting is over. BookShow is now ready to help you show off your book in all your digital hangouts.

Put BookShow on your Facebook page, website, or blog, and friends and fans can flip through your book instantly. One click. No links. What’s more, you control how much to show off – the whole book, or just select pages. It’s totally up to you.

BookShow also makes sharing simple. If your friends like your book, they can click the “Share” button (it’s built right into the widget) and share your book on Facebook, Twitter, or by email. And if they really like your book, they can buy it – the “Buy” button is right there on the widget.

Here’s how to get started with BookShow: Go to your widgets page. You may need to sign in again. Follow the instructions and you’re good to go. Want to test drive BookShow? Go ahead, click on the orange button in the BookShow widgets above and enjoy.

  2. It’s a shame you can’t zoom in, like you used to be able to. You just can’t read text, even at full screen, which makes it less far useful for me as a marketing tool.

  3. Hi Sarah,

We’re working on a fix for the zoom issue so please hang in there.

  4. Is there any way to get the widget posted onto the “Photo” tab in facebook rather than right on the profile? There’s so many posts on profile that the widget gets lost in all the posting. I think it’ll fit better under the “photos” tab. Other than this problem, I love this function.

  5. Hi Linda,
I don’t know if that’s possible but I will check for you. It’s a good point. For now, I don’t have a quick answer but I’ll talk to some of the engineering wizards here and get back to you.

  6. Linda,
I checked in and that’s not something we can do right now. We’re always working on making BookShow even better as a way to share and promote books, so stay tuned.

  7. We want to “gift” this book to all donors giving large donations (via a link NEXT to the widget). We don’t want people to necessarily be able to just buy the book. If they did, we still need their personal information for future mailings. Can I turn the “buy” function off?

  8. Hi,
Currently, there is no functionality that allows you to turn off the “buy” function on BookShow. When we built it we weren’t really thinking about your particular use case. Thanks for chiming in. We’ll take it under consideration for future enhancements to the BookShow widget.
