Marketing Your Book Doesn’t Have to be this Hard

Check out this humorous piece by Ellis Weiner in the New Yorker. A great lampoon of the publishing industry, it features an editor’s misguided advice on getting your book noticed. “Reddit bites,“ “Google scaffold,” and “FB/MS interlink torrent” anyone?

Oh yeah, and by the way, in this piece, the editor has moved all of the author’s photos out of his book and onto a Web page to make the “hard-copy version cheaper to produce.”

Yikes! Maxwell Perkins must be turning in his grave! As for us, we’re just smiling.

And, just so you know, we’ll happily help you get the word out about your book quickly and easily. Check out our list of marketing tools. As always, we’re thrilled to publish your books, photos and all – keep them coming!
