Blurbarians, as mentioned in an earlier post, the New York Times sent out an invitation for people worldwide to capture a moment in time with photography. That moment being May 2, 2010, 11 a.m. (15:00 UTC.). The response was overwhelming, so overwhelming that their system balked at the more than 14,000 submissions.
There are some incredible photos, check them out as the editors sprinkle a sampling before the big unveiling. Soon maybe? Who knows – the interactive montage they promise is a technical challenge to be sure. Keep posted here and at the Times Lens photo blog.
