Sam Javanrouh’s photoblog Daily Dose of Imagery has already garnered a dedicated fan base and a heap of awards and honors. So it’s no surprise that his first book is also getting plenty of buzz. But even Sam’s been taken off guard by the overwhelming response.
The gorgeous 40-page “Daily Dose of Imagery Collection, Volume 1″ features more than 40 photographs that appeared during the first 40 months of Sam’s photoblog. Sam used Blurb to publish his book. To save his international fans on shipping costs, Sam decided to buy copies of his book in bulk and sell them directly through his Web site. But after posting his book to the site, he was so overwhelmed with responses he had to take down the buy link so he could catch up with all those orders.
If that weren’t exciting enough, the blog-in-print is getting some serious press. Today’s post is of journalist and blogger Amber MacArthur holding up the book for the camera crew, while filming a story on it for of CityTV News international.
Congratulations, Sam. We’re sure this is just the beginning. And we hope you and your fans will watch this space for improved ways of pricing and selling books — coming soon to Blurb.
