What do most all Blurbarians have in common? A lot of creativity and a camera. So it follows that you might be interested in photo contests. And while we’re partial to Photography Book Now, we’d also like to keep you up to date on other places you can showcase your creativity.
No better place to start than in our own backyard. Take a look at this article in the Oakland Local detailing some great photo and video contests in San Francisco’s East Bay communities.
Other great sources for photo contest listings and great inspiration include the Photo District News (PDN) and Digital Photo Pro websites and the International Photography Awards (ipa). PhotoLinks lists a plethora of contests. Parents.com has a great contest for kids photography and National Geographic has an ongoing call for photography that they feature on their site and in their magazine.
We’re sure you know of other contests. Send us your favorites – ones you’ve entered, ones you aspire to, local or worldwide. Share and share alike, and we’ll do the same.
