It’s no big secret that Blurbarians are a wildly diverse group of people. Just a quick glance through the Blurb Bookstore, and you’ll find books on anything from longboard surfing to wealth management to Galileo. In fact, if you’re a frequent bookstore visitor, the only tricky part is keeping track of all the latest books that might pique your interest.
So to help keep tabs on our newest tomes, we’ve recently released support for Atom feeds. Despite the confusing name, Atom feeds are a very simple way to track all the latest content around the Web that’s of specific interest to you. Within the Blurb Bookstore, that means tracking books – books by author, category, publish date, tag and more.
If you’ve never heard of Atom feeds before, don’t sweat it. All popular browsers recognize the format and will help you along. Once you “subscribe” to a feed, you can quickly access it as a browser bookmark, or you can get a more personalized experience by using one of several feed readers, like My Yahoo, Google Reader, Bloglines, or Rojo.
Ready to give it a try? Click here to start tracking our Featured Books, or here for our Recently Published books. Or, simply go to the Blurb Bookstore and find your favorite category, author’s bookstore, or topic (by entering a search term), and click on the orange XML button at the top of the page to get started.
Kathy’s Bloglines feed (above) shows that she has 23 new Blurb books to check out. Looks like she has some reading to do.
