Heads up, Blurbarians, or more accurately, eyes up. The full moon is coming to a sky near you on Sunday night, November 21. In honor of the event, we thought we’d send a little moon photography your way. Laurent Lavedar is an astronomy journalist and landscape astrophotographer – which to us translates as “someone who takes pretty cool shots of the sky.” His website is chock-a-block with all sorts of wonderful images, from strange clouds to 3-D starscapes (3-D glasses required – you have those, right?).
You’ll find a nice slideshow of Laurent’s moon games on The Picture Show, the NPR blog, but if you want the full scoop on the equipment he uses to capture these images, you’ll find the info on his site. Take a look and if the sky is clear Sunday night, walk outside and play a few moon games yourself.
