Big news: Response was so phenomenal to our May 25 Color Management webinars (more than 3,000 sign ups!), that we’ve added two more sessions.
Both sessions are free and will take place on Wednesday, May 26, one at 1:00 p.m. EDT (10 a.m. PDT / 6 p.m. GMT/BST) and another at 3:00 p.m. EDT (12 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. GMT/BST). Sign up for the 1:00 p.m. session here and the 3:00 p.m. session here.
Like our May 25 webinars, these sessions will be led by the color wizards from X-Rite and our very own Blurb gurus. The sessions will cover:
• Monitor calibration and profiling
• Color spaces and conversions
• Soft proofing in Adobe® Photoshop®
• Prepping files for Blurb books
Rest assured, whether you’re using Photoshop and Blurb BookSmart®, or Adobe® InDesign® and our PDF to Book workflow, we’ll go over the fine points of file preparation so that the color in your books is right on.
Sign up, take your books to the next level, and put the finishing touch on your Photography Book Now submission. These webinars get rave reviews. Hope to see you there.

This is so awesome! I can’t wait!
Just curious, how long is the webinar? I don’t see that info.
THANK YOU!
Hi Sandra, the webinar lasts one hour. Hope you can make it.
Would love to see this, but am in Australia so it will be 3am or 5am. Do you have a recorded version of the last one?
I signed up for the one on the 25th, but I’m not sure what to do when the time arrives. Do I just go to the website? Or will you email me with instructions? Or what?
Hi Shannon,
You should get a reply email and a reminder that has a link to the webinar. When you’re ready to log on, just click the link in the email and follow the instructions.
Enjoy the webinar!
Kathy
can we still sign up for may 25th? how?
Hi Mike,
The first session today is full, but there’s still space in the second session and in both sessions tomorrow. The sign up for the second session today can be found at this link: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/367295323.
Hope you can make it.
Eileen
The webinar was fabulous – very informative. I would recommend all of the webinar’s that Blurb has done! Thanks Blurb for making your customers needs your number one priority!!
Hi, would also be interested in a recorded version?
Like Emma, I’m located in Australia, and times are very hard for us (3am or 5am)
You got it vaguely wrong again!!!
3:00 p.m. EDT (12 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. GMT/BST).
BST-1 = GMT

Our apologies – the webinar is at 8 pm GMT. So sorry for the confusion.
We will be posting the webinars on our site as soon as possible. We’ll do a blog post and let you know as soon as they are live. Thanks for your patience.
tried to connect to webinar at 9;15pm but it was over

please let me know via email when your next webinar is on Blurp. Thanks so very much! I love this prgam and all of the multiple possibilities it can create.
I’m trying to sign up for the 3 PM webinar but it claims it’s over. Will there be another and if so, what date? can I get a notification of when the other’s will be? Thanks
Hi David, all webinars were scheduled to run about an hour but guessing at the length is more art than science. We will definitely keep you posted on the next seminar. Just so you know, we’ll post the Color Management webinars (all four of them) on our site and will write on the post on the blog as soon as they are live.
Sorry we missed you,
Eileen
Robin,
We will absolutely keep you posted on future webinars. Stay tuned to the Blurb blog. Hope your bookmaking is going well.
Eileen
Hi Robin,
See the earlier reply. I’m sorry you missed the webinar. If you’re signed up to get Blurb emails, you’ll definitely get word of the next webinar. Also, keep checking in on the blog and on the Blurb Facebook page.
Eileen
Hi, I’ve yet subscribed to the RSS of this blog so I missed yesterday sessions, and didn’t received any email notifying of them. There is any way to download them or do you plan to repeat them?
Thanks,
Hi Sandro,
We will post the webinars (all four) to our site on the “Tips and Tutorials” page as soon as we can. Give us a few days. Also, we have more webinars planned. Be sure you’ve opted in to our emails (go to your “My Account” page and go to “account info”), keep checking on this blog, and take a look at our Events page. That way you’ll have advance notice. Hope you can make it to the next one…
Eileen
Please inform me of your coming up webinars. Eager to get going on my books again and missed this one!
Whats the point if living outside of the USA? You cant even let me set my own price and make a profit on my book. You still use cheques to pay any profits (although there cant be any profit for me as I live in UK and apparently we are too stupid to be trusted to submit taxes to our own Inland Revenue), although you were quite happy to let me pay for my one copy via paypal. No point in seminars or webinars or anything if you live outside of the US. Actually, not much point in making books on blurb really. so Im now looking for similar offers in more friendly countries.
Is its possible to see some proofs of the first couple images?
Hi Mary,
Keep checking in on our Events page and follow the blog. We have some more webinars coming soon. Just nailing down dates now. Also, make sure you’re opted in to our emails. We always send out word when there’s a webinar coming up. Sorry we missed you and hope to see you at the next one.
best,
Eileen
Hi Steve – I am sorry you are so frustrated with our Set Your Price program. We have had quite a lively discussion on our forums about the very same thing and we completely hear that people want the option of receiving their profits via check, PayPal, or other means. We plan to offer more payment options later this summer so please don’t give up on us yet. Check back soon.
Idelle – I am afraid I don’t understand your question re: proof images. If you’re going to be making an important book or ordering more than a few copies of one version, we highly suggest you make a proof book first of some images that reflect the rest of your book. So, you can do a 40-page book with some test images, and make changes later if needed for the real book. Hope that helps.

Hello. I just became interested in blurb yesterday and I have been cruising non-stop gathering info about making photobooks. This may not be the place for it, but one question I have is about PhotoShop. It seems many people are using it to prepare their photos and custom pages but I don’t have it. Is it necessary to have PhotoShop or another software to make a book or is BookSmart and some photo JPGs enough? Thanks.
I think I just found my answer. Thanks anyway. I guess next I’ll have to download BookSmart and give it a test run.
Peter,
Let us know if you have any questions. You can always find answers in our forums or contact our Customer Support team. Also, we’ll be hosting another webinar at the end of June. Stay posted for exact dates and times.
best,
Eileen
Hi, I missed the webinars too, as it was 5am in Melbourne…
:(
Is it possible to know ETA when you’ll post the sessions? I’m opted in for email, will you notify us by email. I’m refreshing this page every two hrs… will it be on this page/section itself??
Hi Gerald,
As soon as the time for our next webinar is set, we’ll have a blog post on it. Stay tuned. Hoping to have final times and dates in the next day or so.
best,
Eileen
Hi,
HAve u uploaded the May 25 and/or May26 Webinars yet? Is there a link where we can watch the video of these??

Hi Al,
Not yet. Hoping to have word today about when we’ll have the webinars posted. We’ll get word of that on the blog as soon as we get confirmation.
Thanks for hanging in there.
