It’s not just raining cats and dogs here in San Francisco. It’s raining elephants and gorillas. Each one of us has arrived more drenched than the person before us. The streets are littered with umbrella carcasses. Debris is flying around the blustery wind tunnel known as California Street. The power is threatening to go out. And our building is creaking loudly and swaying like an old pirate ship.

If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere and enjoying sunshine, we’re jealous. If you’re in the snow or some other storm, we can sympathize. If you’re safe and warm indoors and not having to work, we suggest staying put and making some books. Perfect day for that, as long as the power stays on.
P.S. The image above is the current view from Blurb. Please excuse the really bad photo taken with my old cellphone. I’m still wet from my commute, ridiculously unkempt, and lacking a camera.
