Take a page from Douglas Coupland, the Canadian author, and create your own take on the classic Penguin cover. You know the ones we’re talking about, those orange-spined paperbacks with the sprightly penguin – the ones that haunted or delighted you during countless English Lit classes.
Coupland is marking the 75th anniversary of Penguin with a series of cover designs he created for the “Speaking to the Past” project. The idea is to create a cover that speaks to someone in the year 1935 about life in 2010.
Use the site’s downloadable cover templates and upload your cover design to the “Speaking to the Past” group at Flickr. What would our “Speaking to the Past” cover say? Beautiful books – now by everyone.
