Yesterday we received a letter from a newbie Blurbarian, Bob, from Taylors, SC, and we just couldn’t resist sharing his story with everyone.
Hello All …
I have a book in process with you guys that solved an “unsolvable” problem.
I have a very dear friend Pat who’ll be celebrating her 50th birthday this September. (Unlike many women, she’s not afraid of admitting her age and considers reaching the ‘top of life’s big hill’ quite a successful milestone.)
I knew I wanted to give her something very special and totally unique this year, but spent months without a clue of what that would be. Then a couple of weeks ago I read a column in the New York Times about the technology of internet-based book publishing … and there you were: the solution to my dilemma!
Pat’s a photographer and, as a graphic designer, she had me produce her website, so I realized I had direct access to virtually all of her great photos. So this year, she’ll receive a truly one-of-a-kind gift not available anywhere else on the entire planet: a beautiful book that celebrates her talent!
PS — And I’m working on a second one that has me scanning a boxful of old family photographs so I can produce a memorabilia volume to share with my siblings!
