What’s nice to know is that bloggers understand the need for a blog-to-book tool. Hmm … that just might be something we’re working on. Stay tuned for more news on this soon.

Case in point, Jeff Jarvis points to a Telegraph post about a London blogger and EMT who’s converted his blog to a book and released it for free under the Creative Commons license.

Two points here. The first elegantly stated by Shane Richmond:

… it’s encouraging to see a publisher taking such an innovative approach. It’s the ones who experiment that will survive the online world, not the ones who stick rigidly to the traditional business models.

The second: It’s wonderful to see bloggers take the initiative again and again.

Good luck, Tom. Your book (also available to purchase) Blood, Sweat, and Tea: Real Life Adventures in an Inner-city Ambulance sounds like a fascinating read.

  1. Great idea, when will this be released in the UK, or at least the ability for you to post to the UK?

I hope it will be soon.

  2. Craig,

You are not the only one asking about international shipping.

Readers of this blog know we’ve got some big changes coming to both our BookSmart app and our Web site in the next week. After that, international shipping is definitely on our short list. So, look for some more announcements in the fall.
