There are a lot of extraordinary wedding photo books made with Blurb every day. But one in particular, Ululà Ululì (pronounced like “Oooh la la, ooh la lee”), recently caught our eye. Photographed by Italian photographer Jacopo Quaranta, the book (made with the Book Module in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4) takes on more of the character of a photo essay, than a traditional wedding album. Which makes sense, given his photojournalist training. By incorporating on some of the more prosaic moments in the big day, Jacopo tells a story while capturing a feeling of spontaneity and intimacy.

The couple, Alessandra and Federico, contacted Jacopo via the Internet after seeing a story he published in an Italian newspaper. They kept in touch, and ultimately the couple asked him to photograph their wedding. According to Jacopo,

Ululà Ululì, is a phrase they said when they first met, and I remembered it and just put that name as the name of the book.

The first image sets a whimsical tone:

There are more traditional shots too…
