Like many people, I’ve become a bit of a fan of using the iPhone for photography. It’s not that the camera is particularly good. On my 3G it’s actually pretty lousy. No, as everyone knows it’s all about the apps. And for many people (like photo-journalist Koci, whom we profiled last week), the real fun is in using more than one photography app — something Koci calls “app stacking.”
By using multiple iPhone photography apps (after all, photos from all those camera apps are stored right on your image roll), you can really apply your own unique touch to your photos. For instance, snap a retro-digital photo with Hipstamatic, create a multiple-photo layout with Diptic, apply fine adjustments or add layers with Photoforge2, and then tilt-shift and share it via Instagram.
